A tribute to the Parkland survivors and victims. Seventeen students and school faculty had their lives tragically cut short on February 14th, 2018. The Alliance for Gun Responsibility recognizes the tremendous achievements made by the Parkland survivors but more importantly, we remember the lives lost.

In this ad, Sarah tells the story of her cousin Veronika, who was killed at UC-Santa Barbara - and the law, Extreme Risk Protection Orders, that could have prevented the shooting that took her life. She also describes asking her representative to help pass Extreme Risk Protection Orders into law, only to find that he was listening to the gun lobby instead of families like hers.

Washington's 30th Legislative District overwhelmingly voted Yes on Initiative 594 - 62%. But Representative Linda Kochmar is listening to the gun lobby, not her constituents. "Linda" details how Kochmar's support for a bill that guts Initiative 594 makes us less safe and ignores our voices.

Former Republican Washington Senator and Governor Dan Evans and his wife, Nancy Evans, announced their endorsement of a “Yes” vote on Initiative 594. Their endorsement highlights the strong bipartisan support for #YesOn594, which closes the background check loophole that makes it easy for criminals and other dangerous people to evade a background check and obtain guns with no questions asked. “When I was governor of Washington, people came together to support common-sense policies, and that's exactly what Initiative 594 is,” said Governor Evans.

"Monique" tells the story of Monique Williams, a Pasco resident who was shot to death this year by her ex-boyfriend. His attempt to purchase a gun from a licensed dealer was denied, but he was able to buy the gun he used to kill Monique online, without a background - and with no questions asked.

It has been six years since a gunman stole 26 innocent lives at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Today we remember Sandy Hook and remain committed to honoring the victims, and all those whose lives have been touched by gun violence, with action.

Seven years ago on February 26th, Trayvon Martin was shot and killed on his walk home in Florida. We honor his memory by continuing to fight for justice and working to put an end to the senseless gun violence that steals far too many of our sons.
